Ice Cream Reading!

Thursday is our last day of school for the year!  We will have one week off before we begin our summer stuff! 

Noah will have to read 11 books this summer (one more than last year).  When he does this he will get something of his choosing. Last year, he choose a Swiss Army knife.  Boy, does he love to carve things! 

I am going with an ice cream cone theme this summer, and found a cute printable (probably cause it's for preschoolers to color)

I plan on decorating the "flavors" in all kinds of fun ways.  Can you imagine an ice cream with eleven flavors!

Catch the Reading Bug

The month of May is "Get Caught Reading" month. 

To celebrate this we are going to take a day, to read our favorite books, and I might even read some to him.  Actually, we do a lot of read-alouds.   (though mostly in the evening)

BUT... don't let the reading stop after May is over, and summer is getting ready to begin.  I have found several "reading incentives" for summer reading.

Chuck E. Cheese has a reading rewards chart for free 10 tokens.

They actually have a lot of rewards charts for free tokens for just about every behavior you could think of.
